How do I check my Colorado EBT Card Balance?
There are four ways you can check the balance of your Colorado EBT card.
You can log in online and check the balance on your card.
If you are a new user of the Colorado EBT Card site, you must create a User ID and select a password.
If you are an existing user, visit the Colorado ebtEDGE website and type your User ID and Password into the box provided to log in to your account.
Once logged in, you can check your card balance, transaction history and set up alerts.

Additionally, you can check your EBT card balance at an ATM or Point of Sale (POS) machine.

How do I get a replacement Colorado EBT Card?
Here’s how to replace a lost or stolen Colorado EBT Card:
First, If you suspect or know:
- That your Colorado EBT card or card number has been lost or stolen;
- That someone not authorized by you has gained access to your EBT card or card number and PIN;
- or, That someone has gained information about your identity that may result in your benefits being stolen.
If any of the above is true, follow these two (2) steps:
Step 1
First, you must immediately contact EBT Customer Service (1-888-328-2656) to report your EBT card lost or stolen.
Only by first contacting EBT Customer Service to deactivate your EBT card can you protect yourself against potential benefit theft.
When you call, the EBT Customer Service will deactivate your card so that no one else can use it.
You can also request a new replacement card to be mailed to you at this time.
Step 2
If you did not request a replacement card when you called EBT Customer Service to report your card lost, stolen, or damaged,
contact your Colorado EBT caseworker and request one.
Also, It is recommended that you select a new PIN for your new card at your local Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) office.

How do I get an EBT card in Colorado?
There are 3 ways you can apply for SNAP EBT benefits in Colorado.
Option 1 – Apply online
You can apply online through the Colorado PEAK account (as shown in the image below). If you have an account, you can log in or create your PEAK Account. Click here to be taken to the website.
Option 2 – Apply at CDHS Office Near You

You can download an application, complete it, and mail it to your county CDHS office or submit it in person.
Can I use my Colorado EBT card in another state?
Yes. You can use your Colorado EBT card in any authorized retail location in the U.S. that displays the EBT or Quest logo.
Wyoming uses a different EBT card, called Smartcards.
If you need to use your EBT card in Wyoming, do so at the larger chain stores that have their own equipment to process both types of EBT cards.
What can I purchase with my Colorado EBT Card?
You can use your Colorado EBT card to purchase foods for the household to eat, such as:
- breads and cereals;
- fruits and vegetables;
- meats, fish, and poultry; and
- dairy products
- Seeds and plants which produce food for the household to eat
However, you cannot use your Colorado EBT card to purchase the following items:
- Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, or tobacco
- pet foods;
- soaps, paper products;
- household supplies;
- vitamins and medicines; and
- food to be eaten in the store or hot foods
